For many years now, Acrobat Removals have been working with Variety, the Children’s Charity, providing removalist assistance for the Variety Spin 4 Kids fundraiser event.
The annual fundraiser provides financial support to kids who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with a disability, so they can be given a fair go at life.
The charity delivers programs, experiences, grants, and scholarships that aim to positively impact the lives of these children. Variety’s work provides them with a chance to get out in the community and improve their mobility, confidence, and self-esteem.
This year, 29 teams collaboratively rode for five hours straight for the Variety Spin 4 Kids event. They even managed to raise a record breaking $105k in support of the charity.
Variety’s Event Manager, Brooke Bell said the spirit of Novocastrians to lend a helping hand is what allows them to provide support for kids in need year after year.
“This incredible fundraising effort simply would not have been possible without donations from our generous Newcastle community and the team at Acrobat Removals,” Brooke said.
Lending a hand at the Variety Spin 4 Kids fundraiser
Organising a successful event like this one does not come without significant logistical challenges.
One of the most important, of which, was to find a vehicle and team with the capacity to safely transport over 30 high-quality spin bikes to Newcastle Jockey Club, along with several other virtual team locations across the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions.
Luckily, this is where Acrobat Removals were able to step in and assist, for what was their sixth year in 2022!
On behalf of Variety, Brooke expressed her gratitude for the ongoing relationship that they’ve formed with Acrobat Removals over the years since the event began in 2017.
“The impact that Acrobat has had is huge – by offering their services for free, Jord and the team have enabled us to keep costs down and ultimately raise more money for the kids that Variety supports.”
Operations Manager, Jord Petersen, says he is so proud to be able to sponsor the event and give back to youth in need within our local Newcastle community.
“The work that Variety does to change the lives of sick kids is so admired by our team, so we’re always happy to get on-board and do our bit to provide a trustworthy and reliable service for them,” Jord said.
Brooke confirms that she’d love to continue partnering with Acrobat Removals and looks forward to more event collaboration in the future.
